About Duke City Tech
Duke City Tech is a monthly podcast focusing on all things technology in Albuquerque. Where technology meets life, the web, science, art, music and more in the Duke City, we talk about it.
Your Hosts The Talent
Duke City Tech is hosted by a group of locals with a passion for technology, Albuquerque and community development:
Mark is a Sr. Drupal Developer for Mediacurrent. A local web enthusiast, he enjoys working with the wonders of the Drupal platform. He also runs the Albuquerque Drupal Users group and helps organize the ABQ Webgeeks talks. Living in New Mexico for over twenty years, he plays hockey and tennis.
Peter is a Sun Certified Java Programmer and Certified ScrumMaster with 14 years experience in software development. He specializes in large scale financial and work flow management software and has taken a recent interest in Android development. Peter can't play any musical instrument very well so he used to play other people's records on KUNM radio. He now lives in Cincinatti and gets mocked constantly about that fact.
The Community The Geeks
Duke City Tech means nothing without our geeky community. In addition to those folks we interview, we also owe a gratitude of thanks to those folks who have helped and supported us:
Ben is a local graphic designer and web designer-developer hybrid. An active member of the local web/tech community, DCT was pleased to have Ben as our guest for Episode 3, where he discussed net neutrality.
Terri is not only an active member of our web community, she also runs a local business W3PR specializing in SEO and digital marketing. We interview her in Episode 5 about her nomination for an NMTC Women In Techology Recognition Award.
Lori is a local graphic designer, who is the creative source behind our lovely DCT logo. In addition to volunteering her time and talents to DCT, she is the Communication Director for AIGA New Mexico.
Eric is one of the Duke City's most valued, loved and busiest members. He's actively involved in almost every business and tech group in New Mexico, including the New Mexico Tech Council, which we interviewed Eric about in Episode 4.
